Add Interest to Home Design with Stripes

I recently came across a great Houzz article about using stripes in design to add color and interest. As someone who loves decorating with color, I enjoyed looking through the Houzz ideabook at the pictures and suggestions, as stripes on the wall do help make a design stand out. And this article got me thinking about the other ways I’ve used stripes in my designs.

The stripes that run all around this backsplash are a fun touch for tile in the kitchen.

The subtle coral stripe in these chairs helps tie together this room’s color palette.

The striped pillow in this outdoor space marries the natural stone color with the punch of peacock blue in the solid pillow next to it.
