Inspiration: Christmas Tree in London’s Design Museum
There’s a tree for every occasion. At London’s Design Museum, fashion designer Mary Katrantzou created a fun, modern 2D tree.
The crisp, graphic creation has garnered rave reviews from magazines and websites such as The Editor at Large, which stated:
“The 2D design is visible on the museum’s outer wall, measuring over 9 feet tall. The tree combines Katrantzou’s trademark bold patterns with Christmas sparkle from design partner Swarovski.”
Mary Katrantzou’s fashion designs have the same artfulness and grasp of color as her 2D tree. This dress, for example, is at once simple and richly complex. Like the tree, it explores dimensions and visual perception. It also has beautiful greens and blues!
