Orange Crush

Pantone voted Tangerine Tango (a shade of orange) as the color of 2012, and as we head into fall, I though it would be a good idea to share ways to can incorporate this bold hue into your home. We learned in grade school that when you mix yellow and red together you get orange. Depending on the mixture, the shade varies from a fiery orange to a softer almost pastel color.

Because of the many shades, orange is a very versatile, easily paired with a variety of colors.

In this grouping, orange is accompanied by neutral tones like gray, white, black and brown.

Orange also works well with other bright colors like blue, magenta and yellow.
