BLAIR LANCASTER WHITE
Born and raised in Uptown New Orleans, Blair Lancaster White graduated from Louisiana State University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a minor in Fine Arts. Blair learned her love for architecture from her father at a very young age. In middle school, she chose to build a model plantation home for a Louisiana History project; her passion for design has only flourished from there. Between Blair’s work on the Susan Currie Design team and enjoying life as a newlywed, she is a workout enthusiast and loves to cook. She and her husband also own a classic New Orleans double shotgun home, half of which they AirBnB – keeping life interesting! A true creative at heart, Blair brings an effervescence to our team and offers out-of-the-box design ideas. Primarily working out of our New Orleans office, Blair focuses on residential and small commercial projects in and around the Big Easy. We feel lucky to have such a fun and creative spirit on the Susan Currie Design team!
ANNE CALDER, Allied ASID
Raised in and around her father’s luxury beachside construction sites, Anne Calder grew up literally surrounded by fantastic design and craftsmanship. This exposure made an impact; Anne went on to earn her bachelor’s degree at Wesleyan University, where she majored in American Studies with a concentration on Architecture and Urbanism. Originally from New York, Anne’s love of architecture and fantastic food drew her down to New Orleans, where she studied at Delgado Community College and earned an associate’s degree in Interior Design. It was while in school at Delgado that Anne first joined Susan Currie Design. She quickly became a fixture on the team. When she decided to move home to New York in 2018, we were sorry to see her go. But a few months later, it became clear that Anne and SCD were happier together than apart. Today, Anne is back with Susan Currie Design — working primarily from Brooklyn on residential projects in both New York and New Orleans! When she is not wrapped up in a design project, Anne enjoys reading, gardening, cooking and is learning the ins and outs of both fiber arts and tennis. Anne’s sweet nature, inspired ideas and attention to detail are all valued characteristics here at Susan Currie Design!
