Design Detail: Painted Doors

Living in such a culturally rich city as New Orleans, with its centuries old architecture, you come to appreciate all the color and beauty found on every street corner. With my recent move back to New Orleans, I enjoy seeing the city through new eyes.

One thing that has caught my “design eye” are the all the beautifully painted doors. New Orleans has a unique style of its own, which is easily displayed through the exterior storefront of our French Quarter and neighborhood shops and restaurants.

Painted doors aren’t unique to just New Orleans. A painted door can enhance the curb appeal for your home as well. Take a look at some of my favorite painted doors below.
