Spotlight On: Milo Baughman Furniture

Pieces by Milo Baughman may not be cutting edge now, but I still love his great mid-century furniture designs and think they fit well in both transitional and modern spaces. As Elle Decor so aptly describes:

“From his very first clean-lined collections in iron and walnut, which helped shape the post war California look, to his minimalist chrome-and-burl-wood pieces in the 1970s, Baughman (pronounced Boffman) purposefully defined modern design as elegant yet accessible.”

Two of my very favorite Milo Baughman pieces include pairs of lounge chairs and etageres available on 1st Dibs. Take a look…

This set of lemon upholstered lounge chairs is to die for! The chairs would look great with a gray color scheme—remember my post on adding cheerful yellow to your home décor?

These Milo Baughman etageres, made of chrome and glass and circa the 1970s, are chic and timeless.

In fact, I don’t think Baughman’s pieces will ever go out of style. What’s your take on his furniture designs?
